In order to thoroughly study and implement President Xi Jinping's thoughts on the rule of law, implement the spirit of the 20th National Congress of the Communist Party of China, continue to implement the work arrangements of the Central Committee and the CPC Beijing Municipal Committee on strengthening the construction of socialist rule of law culture, and further promote the spirit of constitutional rule of law, the Beijing Municipal Education Commission launched the 10th Beijing Teachers and Students Excellent Legal Education Works Collection Activity and the "Learn the Constitution and Publicize the Constitution" series activity for students across the city. The teachers and students of the Law School of Beijing Normal University achieved great success in the activities.
1. The 10th Beijing Excellent Legal Education Works Collection Activity
On January 19, 2024, the Beijing Municipal Education Commission announced the List of the Teachers and Students of the 10th Beijing Excellent Legal Education Works Collection Activity. The works for this event were recommended by units/individuals, reviewed by experts, and finally reviewed at the municipal level. Multiple pieces of work by teachers and students of the Law School stood out from the 5,988 works submitted by teachers and students from various universities in Beijing, and won 3 first prizes, 1 second prize, 2 third prizes and 2 Outstanding Instructor Awards.
2. Beijing's "Learn the Constitution and Publicize the Constitution" series activity
Recently, the Beijing Municipal Education Commission announced the list of winners of the “Learn the Constitution and Publicize the Constitution” series activity. After recommendations from various units, self-recommendations from students in the preliminary selection session, expert reviews, and a city-level final review, the event was divided into four groups: primary school, junior high school, high school, and college. Finally, first, second, and third prizes for the speech contest and knowledge contest, as well as several awards for outstanding instructors, were awarded. Teachers and students of the Law School stood out: Li Jinkun won the first prize in the speech contest; Cheng Delin won the first prize in the knowledge contest; Chen Xuanyu won the Outstanding Instructor Award.
Teachers and students of the Law School are striving for greater success. Good news is inspiring and also motivating. In the new journey, the teachers and students of the Law School will further enhance their legal literacy, practice the spirit of the rule of law, forge ahead with determination, continue to work hard, and strive to become dreamers of the era in realizing the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation.
